Through guided activities, you’ll explore sources of inspiration, assess the space available at home or for exhibition layouts, and learn how to use planning tools such as PECO publications, AnyRail, and traditional paper templates. By the end of this session, you’ll have the foundations of a personalised layout plan.
Baseboards and Construction The afternoon shifts to the practicalities of building a solid base for your railway. You’ll compare different baseboard materials—including MDF and laser‑cut plywood—discuss their strengths and limitations, and consider transport and handling needs. A practical construction session follows, giving you confidence in assembling a sturdy, reliable baseboard.
Course Wrap‑Up The day concludes with feedback, information on further PECO courses, and the presentation of certificates.
